Kari Angelica Peña is a director, writer, and editor based in SLC, Utah.

She graduated from Utah Valley University in 2024 with a BSc in Digital Cinema Production.

While her work is varied, she loves to tell meaningful stories centered around normal people struggling with every day problems. She is driven by her love of people, their stories, and finding the deeper meaning in them (even the most mundane).

Most recently, her senior capstone film An Unsweet Fix was nominated for Best Student Film at the Utah Film Festival. Additionally- her latest film Like a Promethean Curse won gold at the 2024 Utah Valley University “Digital Media Showcase”.
